Our Church

Our church is a Bible based community of Christians. We are a community of all ages and many cultures and backgrounds, united by common faith in Jesus and in hope of the Kingdom of God (Acts8:12).

Our Lombard church is part of a worldwide community called the Christadelphians, meaning “brothers of Christ (Heb 2:11). All members work together to conduct church services and provide Sunday school lessons, Bible study groups, youth activities and outside ministries. We strive to follow Paul’s exhortation to be one body in Christ with many members, serving one another (I Cor 12).
Our Discipleship

Just as we are responsible to know the Lord Jesus, we are to be ambassadors for Christ. (2 Cor 5:20) We are to share His teachings and His work in bringing us to God through His sacrificial life and death. (2 Cor 5:18-21)

As disciples, we minister to others, personally encouraging and instructing them how to live in faith, hope and love by the power of the word of God and His Spirit. We are also to share our resources to meet basic physical needs where appropriate (Matt 25:35-40).

We have all sinned and fallen short of the glory of God. (Rom 3:23) We are all in need of reconciliation with our Creator (Rom 5:10), which brings peace. This peace, for us, is a peace that passes understanding (Phil 4:7) and life eternal (Rom5:21).
Events

We have a range of events planned throughout the year for our community to come together and grow in our faith. These include Gatherings, held at different Churches, Bible Schools, and weekly events covering Bible study, discipleship, and practical application of faith principles.

Our local church has existed for over 160 years.

Our current lightstand is in Lombard, IL.

The Christadelphians are a small religious body who have deliberately attempted to get back to the faith and character of the early Christian church. We have been in existence since 1848 as a worldwide community. The name 'Christadelphian' means "Brethren in Christ".
